Privacy Policy
How we handle the information you share with us — in plain English.
This Privacy Policy explains how Simplify ("we", "us", "our"), operator of simplify.ist, collects, uses and protects information when you visit our website or contact us. We keep this simple and collect only what we need to respond to you.
1. Who we are
Simplify is a Shopify app development studio based in Australia. For any privacy question, contact us via our contact form.
2. What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us through our enquiry form, which may include:
- Your name and email address;
- Your company or store name and website / Shopify store URL;
- Details about your project — type, summary, description, budget range, timeline and Shopify plan; and
- Any other information you include in your message.
We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not require you to create an account.
3. How we use it
We use the information you provide solely to:
- Respond to your enquiry and discuss your potential project;
- Prepare a scope and quote where relevant; and
- Maintain a record of our correspondence.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we will not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
4. How your enquiry is processed
Our enquiry form is delivered to our inbox through a third-party form-processing service (FormSubmit). When you submit the form, your details are transmitted to that service for the sole purpose of delivering your message to us. We encourage you not to include sensitive information (such as passwords or payment details) in the form.
5. Confidential project information
If you need to share confidential information about your business or app idea, ask us for a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before you do. We're happy to sign one first.
6. Data retention
We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as needed for the purpose it was provided and to meet our legal and business record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. Australian users have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles; users in other regions may have additional rights under their local laws. To exercise any of these, contact us.
8. Cookies & analytics
This website is intentionally lightweight. It does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we ever add privacy-respecting analytics, we will update this policy first.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including HTTPS across the site. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
