We do one thing: Shopify apps.
Simplify is a small, senior studio built around a single platform. We're not a generalist agency that also takes Shopify work — it's the only work we take.
Born from a simple frustration.
We kept seeing the same thing: merchants and founders with sharp app ideas, handed to generalist agencies who treated Shopify like "just another e-commerce platform" — and shipped apps that failed review, ignored Polaris, or quietly broke at the next API version.
So we built Simplify to be the opposite: a studio that knows the platform's APIs, review process and merchant expectations cold, keeps the team small and senior, and treats your codebase as something you'll own and grow — not something to lock you into.
The principles behind every build.
Specialists, not dabblers
Depth beats breadth. Knowing one platform deeply means fewer surprises, faster builds and apps that age well.
You own it
Your repo, your app, your IP — assigned to you on payment. We earn the next project by being good, not by holding your code hostage.
Honest scope
We'd rather talk you out of a feature you don't need than pad an invoice. Fixed scope, fixed price, plainly explained.
Built to last
We build to Shopify's standards and keep apps current with API versions — so launch day isn't the day things start to rot.
Senior, end to end
The person who scopes your app writes it. Small team, direct line, no telephone game through account managers.
Outcomes over output
An app that ships but doesn't convert installs is a failure. We care about the merchant metric, not just the merge.
Small, senior, Australian — global by default.
We're a compact team of senior Shopify engineers and product designers based in Australia, working with merchants, founders and agencies worldwide. Small enough to care about your project, experienced enough to de-risk it.
Agencies: we also white-label. If you've got a client who needs Shopify app work outside your wheelhouse, we can build behind the scenes. Get in touch →
